Round towers are almost unique to Ireland and are a national icon. Dating to early medieval times, over seventy towers remain scattered around Ireland. From Wicklow’s Glendalough to Tipperary’s Rock of Cashel and from Aghagower in County Mayo to County Dublin’s Clondalkin, ROUND TOWERS OF IRELAND features over forty of these intriguing structures.
