Before he died in December 2020, Patrick McGoldrick spent a year writing a collection of reflections on eucharist, drawing on his thirty-six years of studying and teaching liturgy, mostly at Maynooth College, and his twenty-two years as curate in Moville, Co. Donegal.
As the world struggled to come to terms with the Covid-19 pandemic, the author began to write and the result is this insightful collection, which draws on the tradition of Christians over two thousand years gathering to remember the life of the Risen Lord in a spirit of thanksgiving. With words from that tradition and the teachings of Vatican II, with biblical words and the words of the eucharistic prayer to express our eucharistic faith, we remember and give thanks.
