Gareth Edwards
Sir Gareth Edwards is recognized the world over as one of the greatest rugby players ever. An ever-present scrum-half in the Wales Grand Slam teams of 1971, 1976 and 1978, he also played in the Lions sides which conquered New Zealand in 1971 and South Africa in 1974. When he retired from rugby, he became one of the resident captains on A Question of Sport and has since been in demand as a broadcaster with BBC, ITV and S4C. He was knighted in 2015 for services to sport and to charitable services.
