Gwen Parrott
Although she has lived in Bristol for many years now, Gwen Parrott was born and brought up in the depths of rural North Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Having worked in many creative writing fields such as theatre, television, radio, short stories and novels, in both English and Welsh, she was also a freelance translator until fairly recently, but is now a full-time fiction writer, concentrating on both semi-historical and contemporary murder mysteries. Her background has allowed her to write in both languages and she translates her own novels as a matter of course.
She has published four Welsh language novels with Gomer: Gwyn eu byd (2010), Hen Blant Bach (2011), Cyw Melyn y Fall (2012), and Tra Bo Dwy (2015).
The English translation of her first novel Gwyn eu byd was released in paperback as Dead White (2019).
